These rules keep the lookup focused on decisions cat owners can understand and verify.

Scope

We publish concise educational records about human foods and cats. We do not diagnose, prescribe, calculate toxic doses, or replace a veterinarian or poison-control professional.

Evidence language

Headlines must match the record. "Safe" is reserved for a plain, appropriate form as an occasional treat. "Caution" means amount, form, or frequency changes the decision. "Danger" identifies a documented poisoning or injury risk where the right response is prevention and, after exposure, a call — not observation.

Source and reviewer transparency

Every record links its sources and shows a last-reviewed date. The current records are source-reviewed, not veterinarian-reviewed. A future veterinary review must name the reviewer and scope before that label appears.

Commercial independence

The launch site contains no sponsored placements, affiliate recommendations, paid rankings, or pet-food brand promotion. Commercial relationships must never change a safety verdict.

Updates

We correct clear errors and revise records when stronger or newer evidence changes a conclusion. Review dates describe the record check, not a promise that the underlying evidence is complete.
